How to install:
Method #1 (by SequelOfDecay) [Tested on Windows Vista x32 SP1]:
1 Mount Dawn of War II.iso on your virtual DVD-ROM.
2 Unrar DOW2.exe (for example in C:\Games )
3 Open rev.ini (in our example C:\Games\DOW2\rev.ini )
and change
SteamClientDll
into
SteamClientDll=STEAM\steamclient.dll
or into
SteamClientDll="main folder of the game"\Steam\steamclient.dll (in our example it is SteamClientDll=C:\Games\DOW2\Steam\steamclient.dll )
Save changes.
4 Run Loader.exe (in our example C:\Games\DOW2\Loader.exe ) or DOW2.exe (in our example C:\Games\DOW2\DOW2.exe )and play the game.

Method #2 (by PhuckEverything) [Tested on Windows Vista x64 SP1]
1 All the extracted game files are in one folder named "Dawn Of War 2" (without the quotes obviously) and then placed in C:\Program Files. So the structure looks like this: C:\Program Files\Dawn Of War 2.

2 Then open up Rev.ini (in the main DOW folder) and look for the line at the bottom that starts with: SteamClientDll=. Now add your Dawn Of War directory between the SteamClientDll= and Steamclient.dll overwriting or deleting the part between there, then save and close.

It should look like this: SteamClientDll=C:\Program Files\Dawn Of War 2\steamclient.dll

All you're doing is telling the .ini where to find the SteamClient.dll file which is in your main DOW folder, wherever you put it.

3 Make sure you have the latest DirextX as well as the latest Games For Windows Live Crapware. Start Steam. If you don't have it you must install it. It doesn't matter where you install it or if you have the DOW folder in your SteamApps folder only that it's running while you play. I could not play the game without it running.

If u use PhuckEverything's method, don't forget to create a new steam account (it's free) for this game and don't worry about Steam bans. ;)
