SECRET SPHERE – a name guaranteed to make every Power Metal freak’s heart beat faster with excitement and anticipation! Crediting bands like HELLOWEEN, ANGRA, DREAM THEATER and SAVATAGE as their biggest influences, SECRET SPHERE manage to honour the heritage of such big names while creating their very own brand of Symphonic Power Metal.

Con la seconda prova da studio dopo il buon Mistressof the Shadowlight i nostrani Secret Sphere ci regalano un disco che, pur incanalandosi nei sentieri del power metal tedesco di Helloween e soci, possiede già un proprio sound e una propria vita. Non è da tutti insomma rifarsi ai grandi maestri di ungenere riuscendo a non copiare spudoratamente.
L'album risulta nettamente superiore al precedente, e brani come Legend o la complessa Under the flag of Mary Read lo evidenziano a pieno. Da segnalare anche la potente The brave, la lenta
The mistery of love e Paganini's nightmare. Ottima la prova del singer Roberto, sempre più a suo agio con queste sonorità cariche di atmosfera: linee vocali rabbiose e sognanti che ben si amalgamano con tastiere pompose e chitarre (grande lavoro dei due axemen) eccellenti. La maggior parte dei brani insomma cattura subito l'orecchio dell'ascoltatore; brani diretti ed efficaci, a volte melodici, a volte incazzati, per un disco power-prog di ottima fattura, che consacra i Secret Sphere tra le grandi band del panorama metal europeo.
