Plot:

A re-imagining of the horror icon Freddy Krueger, a serial-killer who wields a glove with four blades embedded in the fingers and kills people in their dreams, resulting in their real death in reality.
Death stalks the dreams of several young adults to claim its revenge on the killing of Freddy Kruger. Chased and chastised by this finger-bladed demon, it is the awakening of old memories and the denials of a past of retribution that spurns this hellish vision of a dreamlike state and turns death into a nightmare reality.

Feddy Krueger è stato uno dei mostri di punta dell’horror cinematografico degli anni Ottanta e Novanta. Dall’esordio in Nightmare - Dal profondo della notte di Wes Craven alla postilla semi ironica di Freddy vs. Jason, passando attraverso una serie di film spesso non banali, ha rappresentato un’icona dei tempi e un’aggiunta di considerevole impatto al panorama dei mostri di celluloide. Film molto influente, quello di Craven, oltre a generare una serie, ha stimolato epigoni e imitatori di vario genere. Ora arriva un remake, diretto da Samuel Bayer, con la non nascosta intenzione di generare una nuova serie. La storia ricalca, con diverse variazioni, quella originale.
