Fuller, che militò nel Grande Uno Rosso come reporter di guerra, mostra il cammino delle truppe americane impegnate contro il nazismo, prima in Nord Africa, e poi in Sicilia, Normandia, Belgio e infine in Cecoslovacchia, con la scoperta dei campi di concentramento.
