If you're looking for stand-up comedy to watch this Halloween season and happen to love racist, pandering puppet comedy, you're in luck. Jeff Dunham has a new special out.
First, the good: if you're a longtime fan of Dunham, there is every likelihood that you'll love his latest hour-long stand-up special Minding the Monsters. It's the exact hour of comedy he's cranked out several times already, with the minor change that all of his puppets (Dunham is a ventriloquist if you've been living in a cave) have dressed up in Halloween costumes. So while a few minutes of each puppet is devoted to material inspired by the costume, none of the jokes are really any different than what we've gotten from him before. Every one of his creations is racist and homophobic and misogynistic in varying degrees, so fans won't be disappointed.
Now, the bad: this is another hour of lazy, pandering stand-up comedy from Jeff Dunham.
