Asielzoekers is een freewheelende , demente, donkere komedie van de moderne wereld, waarin de zes mannen en vrouwen, genoeg van het misbruik ze in de normale samenleving lijden, proberen te ontsnappen en om asiel als bewoners van een psychiatrische instelling te vinden. Ze hebben gehoord over een plaats op de heuvel met een exclusieve behandeling programma, nu elk van hen is uit te laten zien hoe gek ze kunnen worden bij de elektro-shock behandeling en een comfortabele bed met een verpleegkundige geeft. Maar het asiel heeft zijn eigen agenda onverwacht, voor een begin, als gevolg van een massale toestroom van patiënten, is er slechts een plaats over. Zoals de personages zijn gemaakt om te concurreren tegen elkaar voor deze plek, wordt het duidelijk dat dit geen gewone instelling is.

Asylum Seekers is a freewheeling, demented, dark comedy of the modern world, in which six men and women, fed up with the abuse they suffer in normal society, seek to escape from it and to find asylum as inmates of a mental institution. Theyve all heard about a place up on the hill with an exclusive treatment program; now each of them is out to show just how mad they can be when electro-shock treatment and a comfy bed with a nurse feeding you has come to be the perfect alternative to life on the outside. But the asylum has its own unexpected agenda; for a start, due to a massive influx of patients, there is only one place left. As the characters are made to compete against each other for this spot, it becomes clear that this is no ordinary institution.
