PLOT

Set in Arizona, HURT follows the Coltrane family as they grapple with the untimely death of the father, Robert. Forced to abandon their privileged lifestyle, Helen Coltrane and her teenage children Conrad and Lenore are given shelter by her husband's reclusive brother Darryl in his ramshackle home in the desert. As the family reluctantly settles in, a fresh challenge is presented by the arrival of Sarah, a lovely yet troubled foster child whom Robert had pledged to take in. The family's grief turns to dread as a series of tragic, inexplicable incidents befall them.

Hurt volgt de familie Coltrane, die sinds de onverwachte dood van de vader hun levensstijl hebben moeten veranderen. Helen Coltrane (Walters) en haar tiener kinderen Conrad (Rathbone) en Lenore (Braddy) hebben onderdak gevonden bij Darryl (Mapother), de broer van haar man, in een huisje in de woestijn. Nadat de familie eindelijk zijn rust heeft gevonden, komt er een nieuwe uitdaging door de komst van Sarah (Vassilieva), een mooi nog problematisch pleegkind, die een belofte van Robert int. Hij had haar namelijk belooft om haar in huis te nemen. De rouw van de familie Coltrane verandert langzaam in tragische en onverklaarbare incidenten die hen overkomen
