Jennifer Batten (born November 29, 1957) is an American guitarist, who has worked as both a session musician and solo artist. She has released three studio albums. At one point Batten was in 6 different bands, playing everything from straight ahead rock, to metal, fusion, and funk. A major turning point came when she was selected from over one hundred guitarists to play in Michael Jackson's highly skilled band which toured the world for one and a half years playing for over four and a half million people.

Batten played lead and rhythm guitar on Michael Jackson's Bad (1987), Dangerous (1992) and HIStory (1996) world tours, as well as his 1993 Super Bowl half-time performance.

In the spring of 98 Jeff Beck asked Jennifer to join his band. They joined forces for 3 years on the CD’s "Who Else", and “You Had It Coming” which were both supported by world tours.

Critically acclaimed as one of the most creative, imaginative and talented guitarists on the planet and always at the forefront of technology Jennifer Batten recorded her third solo album in 2007. On the albums creation Jennifer comments, "Originally I started writing a lot of these tracks for Jeff Beck when I was in his band. My third CD has been long overdue, so in the end I'm happy to have these tracks for myself! He got me interested in electronica and I'm very happy to have that as a new direction with all the amazing inspiring sounds available today."



Released as a dual pack of CD and DVD, the album is described in style by Jennifer herself as "guitronica". The album possesses plenty of guitar, but Whatever is heavily multi textured with a wide variety of sounds and vocal samples, and has a humorous thread throughout.
