'The Kid' krijgt al meteen een woordenwisseling met Jack (een smid), die hem uitdaagt voor een pistoolgevecht. Dit lijkt erg moeilijk te worden, aangezien het dorpje niet geschikt lijkt te zijn voor een pistoolgevecht, en er niet eens werkende pistolen te vinden zijn.
