This game is a dazzling platformer with a unique approach to game play. First off, you don't play one huge game - instead, Knytt Stories is actually a collection of weird, beautifully atmospheric short games. Each level is its own little adventure. One level is included with the game, where you have to stop a machine that draws the life out of the planet.

Gameplay

The knytt can walk using the arrow keys and jump using the 'S' key. However, powerups found in the levels give her more abilities. The current powerups that the knytt has can be viewed by holding down the 'Q' key. One powerup requires use of the 'D' key, and one requires the 'W' key.

The gameplay of Knytt Stories levels can significantly vary from challenging levels requiring a degree of platforming skill to environmental levels focusing on exploring the game world.
