Trama:
1947: Cartoonia é il posto dove i cartoni animati vivono una vita propria, interagiscono tra loro e con gli esseri umani come fossero anche loro in carne ed ossa. Molti, piú carne che ossa, a dire il vero, come la conturbante Jessica, moglie del coniglio Roger Rabbit, un attore a cartoni che si trova nei guai, accusato dell'omicidio di mr. Acme, il padrone di tutta la baracca. Per cercare di salvarlo, Roger ingaggia il detective umano Valiant, che non sopporta i cartoni per motivi che saranno noti solo in seguito.

Plot:
Toon star Roger is worried that his wife Jessica is playing pattycake with someone else, so the studio hires detective Eddie Valiant to snoop on her. But the stakes are quickly raised when Marvin Acme is found dead and Roger is the prime suspect.
