Een jonge vrouw is dokter in een ziekenhuis waar mysterieuze dingen gebeuren.
Relatief gezonde patiënten hebben complicaties tijdens simpele operaties en komen in coma terecht.
De patiënten worden vervolgens overgeplaatst naar een instituut dat ze in de gaten houdt. Ze gaat op onderzoek uit in het ziekenhuis en het instituut.
Ze vraagt haar man Mark om hulp, maar zij lijkt er alleen voor te staan.
