Trama :

Los Angeles, anni novanta: Jeffrey Lebowski, detto "Drugo", è un uomo disoccupato e cronicamente pigro, che vivacchia senza troppi problemi tra una partita di bowling con gli amici Walter e Donny, una fumata di marijuana e grandi quantità di White Russian. La sua vita disimpegnata verrà però improvvisamente sconvolta quando riceverà la visita di due sicari, che solo dopo capiscono di aver sbagliato obiettivo a causa di un'omonimia col Sig. Lebowski, ricco magnate. Prima di togliere il disturbo, però, i due sicari non mancano di urinare sul tappeto di Drugo. Questi decide quindi di farselo risarcire dal suo opulento omonimo; verrà così coinvolto in un'intricata serie di vicende che vedranno Drugo invischiato, suo malgrado, in rapimenti e riscatti, in compagnia di artisti pazzoidi e giocatori di bowling che si credono delle divinità.
