Satyricon [1969] Fellini ENGLISH REGION 1 DVD (Quad Audio) torrent

SATYRICON is a crowning achievement of film making ..... and their has not been an English version availble
when in fact they made the English version at the same time ....it is more than a dub ... just no one till now put it up ...........which Kmcrct thinks is a sadness to humanity..................

It is super weird and oddly paced thus hard to follow.,,,,,
Their was no English version on the web till now ... the fact is an
English language version was made available immediately following the films release .
However all the web based encodedements of this film have been from Region 5 DVD's .

The Region 1 DVD is a different cut with different timing .
The result is that the subs and audio tracks have different timing. For the life of us we cannot synchronize them exactly with the film .... so instead we have offered 3 different English subtitles for the film .... unfortunately the default subtitle while the best synced is the most incomplete .....

This is a brand new straight DVD encoding from the Region 1 disc . The Film was 720*480 and was re-encoded as 720 full screen . The reason is that encoding black bars is a waste of space and bit-rate thus to maximize viewing pleasure the resolution has been changed from 720*480 to 720*576 effectively increasing the picture size and maximizing the bit rate while keeping a small file size... eliminating black bars from the file size.

The reason is that almost no one has a 720 res screen anymore so when the film is re-sized to fit your screen it will have widescreen look with black bars ..... but will also be a larger aspect ratio version than the original .
KmCrct thinks ahead and begs you to do the same....
Please adopt this format in the future , the reason is that encoding black bars wastes space and bit-rate , let your screen adjust that .

ENGLISH is the default language of this film ....
and the Region 1 subtitles are the default ... they are better synced ....but horribly lacking in detail.

The audio and subtitles have been included from the REGION 5 DVD because they make only nominal additions to the file size however the featured film is from the REGION 1 DVD ...
their is no difference other than timing ...which seems impossible to mitigate .

thus if you speak English get this , if not get the other , it is better synced...

KmCrct finds it atrocious that such a superb film worthy of film study is absent of an English language version on the web ....Once again KmCrct steps in to correct the short falls of humanity.
