Jack Slater (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is de held van het witte doek. Zijn grootste fan Danny krijgt een magisch bioscoopkaartje waarmee hij in de echte filmwereld terechtkomt. Danny heeft waardevolle informatie over de criminelen waar Slater naar op zoek is. Samen gaan zij op jacht naar de bandieten. Wanneer het magische kaartje in handen van de bende valt en zij op hun beurt door het witte doek in de echte wereld stappen, lopen film en werkelijkheid in elkaar over.

Danny has valuable information about the criminals that Slater is looking for. Together they go on a hunt for the bandits.
