Wie zo en dan moet bijkomen van een cynische, ruwe en materialistische wereld zal veel baat vinden bij deze dubbel CD. Het staat vol met vederlichte klassieke pianomuziek. Zes en dertig stukjes van schijnbare eenvoud getuigen van grote schoonheid. Het is als het ware een negentiende eeuwse hitparade. Er bestond toen kennelijk nog niet zo'n grote kloof tussen populaire en klassieke muziek. De Zweedse pianovirtuoos Lars Roos speelt met grote aandacht en opmerkelijke liefde voor dit materiaal. Hij ontpopt zich als een romanticus tot op het bot. De geluidstechniek (D D D) doet mij geloven dat de vleugel in mijn kamer staat.
