Tre ragazzi inglesi che lavorano in un luna park passano la serata in un pub chiacchierano davanti alle loro birrette. Toby è un cinico, Ray e Pete invece sono dei nerd senza speranza: il primo, appassionato di Doctor Who e viaggi nel tempo, è stato appena licenziato perché si è troppo immedesimato nella giostra-astronave, il secondo sogna di sfondare come autore di fantascienza. Finché nel pub non arriva una ragazza con l'accento americano, e dice a Ray di essere arrivata dal futuro per riparare una frattura temporale.....
