::Plot::

Mausam is the story of two lovers, Harry (Shahid Kapoor) and Aayat (Sonam Kapoor). Harry is a Punjabi happy-go-lucky, whereas Aayat is a Kashmiri girl. The two meet and fall in love at Harry's sister, Pammo's (Maya Mankotia) wedding. After the wedding, Aayat leaves for Kashmir, and Harry joins the Air Force. He now becomes Squadron Leader; Harinder Singh, who meets Aayat a few years later, in Scotland, where they get closer once again. When they fall in love again, before they're marriage, riots break out, Harry is called back to India to fight in the war, separating them once more.
