Het Verhaal:
Een jonge vrouw lijdt zwaar onder de gewelddadige dood van haar zus en schakelt een schrijver van misdaadromans in om de moord te helpen oplossen.
Hij komt naar haar stad toe en samen passen ze de puzzelstukjes in elkaar van het geheime dubbelleven dat haar zus geleid heeft.
Gevangen in een troebele affaire met een Congreslid en de verachtelijke ex-minnaar die ze heeft gedumpt, beginnen ze aan de taak om het mysterie op te lossen.
Maar al spoedig loopt ze gevaar als ze merkt dat de waarheid soms even kwaadaardig kan zijn als fictie.
