PLOT
Small-time novelist Nancy moves into the perfect new home, and free of
charge. There’s just one catch — according to her deed, she’s legally
banned from painting over the pentagram/map on her basement wall. Seems
like an odd stipulation, but nobody pays any mind...until Nancy starts
noticing strange occurrences. Every time she closes her eyes, she’s whisked
away and attacked by different monstrosities, e.g. rat monsters, shambling
zombies, three-legged robo-drones and skeletal gladiators named
Nyarlathotep. As one character puts it, “Everything’s bigger and scarier in
the middle of the night.” Well, with the help of her younger sister and a
mysterious physics professor, Nancy soon uncovers why. Turns out her dream
home is more of a nightmare!
