Plot

Tired of superficiality and banality of the people and of contemporary society, the advertising Alessandro Forte decides to embark on a journey to Jerusalem , but without really knowing what to look for . During the plane trip leg meets Elvira Marenghi , an old rich lady who is going to "buy" the happiness of her grandchildren making a big deal in the Holy Sepulchre Basilica, a gesture that is considered by Alexander as "a ' ancient indulgence. " From the Church he then decides to break away from the group of tourists and ends with the Prophets meet Angelo , a man that he has embarked on the same journey " liberating " for three years , without being able to find what he was looking again : he points the way to 7 km pilgrimage that leads to Emmaus and on it is the case for advertising the mystical encounter with Jesus in person.

After the initial disbelief and uncertainty , the two begin to talk about the world , about people and about the existence of God Jesus , in the various meetings held by the two, always citing examples that relate to everyday people who belong to Alexander, people with whom he came into contact or acquaintances that have all of the qualities or defects or relevant to the disquisition . At the end of each flashback about one of these people , he wakes up and is questioned about the meetings , reality or if his suggestion. At the end of this mystic path, Jesus left three messages that Forte will deliver three of the persons depicted in flashbacks in the emotion of themselves.
