Il primo show "VH1 Divas" si è svolto al Beacon Theatre di New York e ha offerto un vertice senza precedenti di stelle - Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Shania Twain e Gloria Estefan.
Anche se tutte avevano già un enorme un successo, Dion andava supernova con "My Heart Will Go On" e Shania Twain "Come On Over" sarebbe diventato uno dei più grandi album di tutti i tempi.
Il loro lavoro come “Divas” ha aiutato la loro ascesa allo status di superstar.
C'era un'atmosfera di sorellanza che si diffonde attraverso la sala quella sera.
