Mollie werkt als boekhoudster voor Albert, die tevens haar minnaar is. Net
wanneer ze besluit een einde te maken aan hun relatie, wordt ze zwanger.
Wanneer Albert zijn vrouw verlaat en alleen gaat wonen, hoopt Mollie dat ze
binnenkort gaan samenwonen. Op een dag ziet ze Albert in een winkel met een
andere vrouw en van de schok beginnen Mollies weeën. Taxichauffeur James
brengt haar naar het ziekenhuis, waar hij door het verplegend personeel, dat
