Assault of Final Rival is an unusally dramatic kung-fu movie, especially when compared to other Godfrey Ho films. It follows Chen Wai (Wong Tao,) a kung-fu master who is being hunted by several villains simply because they're jealous of his skills.
The main villain, played by Lung Fei, convinces Chen's girlfriend, Ah Ming, to cut off Chen's hair, including a long braid which he uses as a powerful weapon.
After getting away, Ah Ming is so ashamed that she gives up Chen's baby and becomes a nun, while Chen recovers and takes on his enemies one by one.
