Photek, aka Rupert Parkes, is a classic name in drum and bass circles. An English original, his establishment of the genre is indispensable. The Hidden Camera, albeit short in overall length, does not hold back. With an almost 8-minute epic like "KJZ" and the titular track, the EP borders on both jazz and ambient electronic, without much compromise. Perhaps it is not the most well-known Photek single, but upon listening, it easily becomes one of the most well-cherished.
