Low Generation Cassette? > Darren Glenn Remastering > CDR > WAV > FLAC
MY COMMENTS: Back in the day when I was still collecting U2 bootlegs on cassettes I got into contact with Darren Glenn from Australia. I knew he was great with remastering cassettes and at the time he was heavily dedicating his time to remastering/"fixing up" the Australian Lovetown series of shows. I sent him a box of cassettes that I thought were worth remastering and preserving on CDR. He ended up remastering Toronto 9/5/92, Melbourne 10/13/89 (sometimes referred to as Knockin' on Melbourne's Door) and this Boston 11/14/81 show. I am not sure what he did to them but they certainly sound great and better than the tapes that I sent him. I don't know how low the generations of my cassettes were at the time. Regardless, they sound pretty good IMHO. I have compared this to "Black Cat in Boston" and this sounds superior. I actually have another source of this show and that to me even sounds better than "Black Cat in Boston". So of the three that I have, Darren Glenn's remaster is the best, followed by my second unknown source and then "Black Cat". All this is my opinion of course! Anyhow, enjoy this gem of a show!
NOTE: Slight tick/hiccup going from the end of Track 5 into Track 6. Nothing major.
