Ingvar Fohlin - Magdeburgerspelman 1996 torrent

Ingvar Fohlin was born in 1924 in the southern part of province Småland, and played melodeons, diatonic accordions of the older type called magdeburger accordions. Ingvar spent much time collecting tunes from his home parish and neighbouring parishes, and also collected and repaired old accordions. Some of the accordions played on this recording are over 100 years old and still in tip top shape! The tunes are mostly dance tunes that Ingvar learnt from older musicians, played in the local style. He is joined on this recording by some fellow musicians from Småland on accordion, fiddle, vocals, and other instruments. (tongang.se)
