Plot Summary for Adventures in Babysitting.

Chris has a big night out planned when her boyfriend cancels on her.
She agrees to babysit for a pre-teen girl and a pubescent boy.
She's settled in for a dull night when a girlfriend calls her to say she's marooned at a downtown bus station with very seedy characters around.
The three plus one of the boy's friends get into the parents station wagon for a trip to the inner city. All is well till the flat tire.

(Adventures In Babysitting) was Chris Columbus' directorial debut & it is one of the better teen comedies to come out of the 80's.
Elisabeth Shue, in her first major starring role, plays Chris, a babysitter who takes the children she is in charge of,
with her to downtown Chicago to help out a friend who is in need.
This is when the fun begins as Shue & the kids go from one mad-cap disaster to another,
before returning home safe & sound. Shue is excellent as the teenage babysitter & the musical number,
"And Then He Kissed Me" that Shue mimes in the opening credit sequence is a standout.
Another highlight in the film is Shue & the kids performing the "Babysitter's Blues" in a Chicago niteclub.
"Adventures In Babysitting" is a fun film that can be enjoyed by everyone, teens & adults.
