When Germany and Italy saw that alot of communists from other states volunteered to fight in the war, they saw a chance to stop evil at its roots and to train their armies and airforce in new tactics, Germany then sent the glorious "Condor Legion". Mainly an airforce legion although they also sent 88mm artillery brigades.
