Rosie Vela - Zazu (1986) torrent

Rosie Vela's debut and, to the time, only album "Zazu" was released in 1986 and a recent remaster by Cherry Red Records (http://www.cherryred.co.uk/shopexd.asp?id=2971) is available.

Vela wrote all the music on "Zazu" and her songs were good enough to reunite Walter Becker and Donald Fagen, of Steely Dan, to play them. She had produced an album of music that was compared to the works of Joni Mitchell, Rickie Lee Jones and Kate Bush. But she has a completed second album named "Sun Across the Altar" which had been put down by her label and still resides in the archives since 1991. Guitarist Rick Derringer (who played on both of Rosie's albums) is quoted as saying that Rosie's second album "is excellent... the music, lyrics, songs, and singing exceed the quality of Zazu".
