Sinopsis en Español Durante los últimos años de dictadura militar en Chile, Ramiro Orellana es condenado a la pena de relegamiento, un exilio dentro de su propio país. Es llevado a la zona de La Frontera, frías y desoladas tierras que fueron límite entre el dominio español y araucano al sur de Chile, cuya historia está llena de leyendas y maremotos. Ramiro descubrirá una nueva dimensión de la vida, que lo hará atravesar sus propias fronteras interiores.

English Synopsis A Chilean teacher, Ramiro, is sentenced to internal exile in a southern town where tidal waves often appear. He falls for a woman, Maite, whose father asks him to take her away. Although he gets his freedom he doesn't leave and when the water rises, Maite and her father die, and Ramiro flees to the hills.
