I have refused to believe that this all-time classic, winner of 5 Oscars, was produced with mono sound. Imdb has maintained it; all European video distributors and TV or movie channels were sent copies with a mono track, as well as mediocre picture quality.

But now I finally found this remastered DVD and ordered it from the U.S. It does indeed feel like a new film with the music and dialogue alive in the viewing room, and a quality picture without the sides cut off.

Burn tested, runs well in my DivX player.
