From what I have checked, that AR refers to the rerelease in 2005.
This release is the 2003 1.77:1 Unrated Version - 109 Minutes.

I don't know the differences between the 2 versions, sorry.
This is the only version that I have and have seen.

The few bar scenes towards the beginning of the film
are just a bit blurry, not overly, but just a bit.
The bar is awkwardly lit and ALOT of smoking going on in there.
So a little bit of haze is expected in a 700mb version.

Once the movie progresses into the Nature Environment everything
clears right up.
