Based on the novel by S.E. Hinton - this is the definitive version of - The Outsiders - Directed by Francis Ford Coppola, and launched the careers of such stars as:

Patrick Swayze, Tom Cruise, Emilio Estevez, Matt Dillon, Ralph Macchio, C.Thomas Howell, Rob Lowe, Glenn Withrow, Diane Lane, Leif Garrett, and a whole slew of other young actors that went on to have fabulous careers.

It is digitally Re-Mastered from the original negative and is completely re-edited and remastered with 22 minutes of additional footage, previously unseen - making the film more true to the novel.

In addition Francis Coppola dropped the original Gone With The Wind style, melodramatic musical score, and re-edited the film with a new Rock n Roll sound track, true to the era of story and the characters. It also begins with a brief introduction by the director, and several of the stars of the film.

I enjoyed the original release of the film - I absolutely LOVE this new version - and I thought you might like it as well.
