Na een feestje wordt een groep vrienden midden in de nacht gewekt door een eng licht dat door het raam naar binnen schijnt. Als motten aangetrokken door een vlam lokt het licht mensen naar buiten waar ze plotseling in het niets verdwijnen. Snel ontdekken ze dat een buitenaardse kracht probeert de gehele mensheid op te slokken. Nu moet de groep overlevenden vechten voor hun vrijheid terwijl de wereld zijn geheimen prijs geeft.
