This movie is about a New-York-to-Paris auto race in the early years of the 20th century, pitting the Great Leslie (Tony Curtis), a goody-goody dressed all in white--even his teeth sparkle--against the malevolent Professor Fate (Jack Lemmon), whose coal-black heart is reflected in his handlebar mustache. He looks like an evil landlord from a silent-movie melodrama. Lemmon does double duty, also playing the pampered, drunken king of a small European country. Coming along for the ride is feisty sufragette Maggie DuBois (Natalie Wood at her loveliest), and Fate's dimwitted assistant Max (Peter Falk). Watch the hopeless quartet as they attempt to win the greatest race of the century - with hilarious results!

NOTE: This version is nearly 7-1/2 min. shorter than the original 160 min. version because over 3 min. of Overture Music and 2 min. of Intermission Music and 2 min. of Exit Music have been removed. The Movie itself has not been touched.
