Featuring his initial hit single, the whimsical
"Popsicle Toes," this 1976 LP established
Michael Franks as a singer/writer/performer who
could appeal to pop, jazz and adult audiences.
Subsequent LPs, including Burchfield Nines,
Objects of Desire and 1983's Passionfruit, have
seen Franks work with the best session musicians
in the business, a tradition begun on The
Art Of Tea when producer Tommy LiPuma
teamed Michael with members of the Crusaders.
