» In The Last Castle Robert Redford plays disgraced Lieutenant General Eugene R. Irwin, a veteran of Vietnam, The Gulf and Bosnia, sentenced to ten years after eight of his men died when he ignored an executive command. On arrival at military prison \"the Castle\", Redford tells the warden Colonel Winter (Gandolfini) that he simply intends to do his time and go home. Winter runs his prison with an iron will, there are whisperings of suspicious deaths among the prisoner populace and in time natural born leader Irwin has gained the respect of his fellow inmates and proposes they gain control of the facility...
