Beatles Black Album torrent

Director Richard Linklater’s new film Boyhood, which was filmed over a 12-year period to track the physical and emotional growth of Mason (young actor Ellar Coltrane) from age 6 to 18, is earning critical raves for “its masterful storytelling that feels astonishingly seamless,” as USA TODAY’s Claudia Puig wrote.

But for fans of timeless music, one scene in particular leaves a masterful impression.

On Mason’s 15th birthday, his dad (Ethan Hawke) gives him a special, heartfelt gift — The Black Album, a mix CD of music that members of The Beatles recorded after the band broke up in 1970.

Now, that 50-song playlist is available for all to see.

Hawke, who created The Black Album as a real-life gift to his daughter Maya, posted the poignant liner notes and the track listing on BuzzFeed today. The songs are listed below.
