Filmen om musikgruppen Staff Benda Bilili från Kongo-Kinshasa, följer en grupp halta, rullstolsbundna, hemlösa musikers fantastiska framgångssaga från repetitionerna på gräsmattan i stadens zoo till hyllade konsertturnéer i Europa. Ricky har en dröm: att Staff Benda Bilili ska bli Konga Kinshasas bästa band. Roger är ett gatubarn. Han vill inget annat än att få vara med i bandet, ghettots stora stjärnor som far runt på sina ombyggda cyklar.
