Baseada no livro de mesmo nome de Stephen King, Bag of Bones conta a história de Mike Nooman ,um famoso escritor que não consegue superar a perda de sua esposa, morta repentinamente em decorrência de um aneurisma enquanto estava nos primeiros meses de gravidez do primeiro filho do casal.
O trauma causa uma espécie de bloqueio criativo em Nooman, que acaba passando os últimos quatro anos publicando apenas os manuscritos que escreveu antes da tragédia. Para piorar, ele é assombrado por estranhos sonhos que o guiam até a antiga casa de veraneio da família.
Mas em vez de paz e consolo a paisagem bucólica da região esconde muitos problemas. Ele acaba conhecendo a pequena Kyra e sua mãe Mattie, uma jovem e bela viúva que luta contra o sogro tirano pela guarda de sua filha, e resolve ajudá-las. Based on the book of the same name by Stephen King, Bag of Bones tells the story of Mike Nooman, a famous writer who can not overcome the loss of his wife, who died suddenly due to an aneurysm while in early pregnancy of the first child the couple.
The trauma causes a sort of creative block in Nooman, who has just spent the last four years only publishing the manuscripts written before the tragedy. To make matters worse, he is haunted by strange dreams that guide you to the old family summer house.
But instead of peace and comfort the bucolic landscape of the region hides many problems. He ends up knowing little Kyra and her mother Mattie, a beautiful young widow who fights against the tyrant father for custody of his daughter, and decides to help them. At the same time he needs to deal with the constant visits of several ghosts, including his wife, who tries to give him a last message, and Sara Tidwell a blues singer whose spirit still inhabits the house.
In an attempt to understand what is happening to your new home, Nooman begins investigating its history, reaching amazing and frightening revelations.
