Disney The Lion King Workprint and Little Mermaid WIP torrent

Here is a very early version of Disney's The Lion King in workprint form. The film is almost entirely storyboards at this point, with a very small amount of actual animation in pencil test form. The story and script are pretty much in place at this point, with the final voice tracks, but there are a few places where the script is not quite ready yet, compared to the final film.

My VHS copy of this workprint was so bad quality as to be almost unwatchable - I applied heavy noise reduction via NeatVideo and cleaned up the audio, and it's now clean and watchable. It's still shaky though - the picture wobbles around a bit. Since this is mostly still storyboard images, a video editor with time on his hands could fix this by freeze-framing.

Also included are 45 minutes worth of pencil tests and preview clips from The Little Mermaid, in 3rd-gen VHS quality. I didn't clean up this material since it's already very watchable. There's pencil test and storyboard versions of the major songs, character art and some preview trailers. It's definitely not the entire movie but you'll see "Part of Your World," "Poor Unfortunate Souls" and other favorites in early form.

A rare treat for Disney fans who want to see the process behind these classics.
