#1 On November 8–10, 1968, Young performed three solo acoustic shows at Canterbury House in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This album is compiled from the performances on the 9th and 10th. The recording of the song "
Sugar Mountain" from this appearance was previously released as a single B-side and on Young's 1977 compilation album Decade.

#2 Live at the Cellar Door features performances from his six 1970 concerts in Washington D.C.
The album features songs from both Young's early albums and Buffalo Springfield albums, including After the Gold Rush, Harvest, Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere, On the Beach, Buffalo Springfield and Buffalo Springfield Again.

#3 Live at Massey Hall 1971 features a solo, acoustic performance from Massey Hall in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on 19 January 1971 during the Journey Through the Past Solo Tour.
Though the set of songs featured that night was similar to other concerts during the tour, the bulk of the songs played would have been unfamiliar to the audience. Of the eighteen songs Young performed during his second set that night, only eight had already appeared on record.
