Guitar Hero è una popolare serie di videogiochi musicali pubblicata dalla RedOctane e dalla Activision. La serie è divenuta famosa per l'utilizzo di una periferica a forma di chitarra, per simulare un musicista mentre suona musica rock, rappresentata sullo schermo da note colorate che corrispondono a dei pulsanti posti sul manico della chitarra. I videogiochi supportano sia la modalità singola sia le modalità cooperativa, oltre che la vera e propria competizione tra due sfidanti. La serie ha utilizzato delle popolari canzoni rock dagli anni '60 in poi, ottenendo la licenza dagli artisti di riferimento, benché solitamente le canzoni presenti nei videogiochi siano delle cover.
