The life of super-yuppie J.C. (Dianne Keaton) is thrown into turmoil when she inherits a baby from a distant relative. Fired from her job, she moves to Vermont, makes baby food that goes national, eventually falls in love with the local vetenarian (Sam Sheppard), and has the firm she was fired from come back to her with a hard-to-say-no-too deal.
