Rye Coalition - Curses (2006) torrent

If the gods of rock & roll fused the riffing of AC/DC's Angus Young with the over-the-top posturing of Kiss' Paul Stanley and then provoked this unholy alliance with speed-metal head-bangers Nashville Pussy, Rye Coalition would materialize, beaming with Bic-flicking lighters thrust skyward. Stoked by the muscular production of Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl, this Jersey-based quartet of Nugent, Kiss and hair-metal devotees, uncork purely derivative, skull-throttling hard-rock bombs that transcend the volatile hardcore which initially brought them attention. With conspicuously crazed numbers like the backseat horn-dog romp of "Pussyfootin'" and the howling "Cocaine Werewolf" (an obvious nod to Foreigner's "Hot Blooded"), Rye Coalition can be taken as seriously as an episode of Starsky and Hutch. But despite offering nothing original, these Jersey boys kick out the jams like Huggy Bear and a posse of drunken streetwalkers.
