The film challenges India\'s school system that stifles talent and originality. A young student is a talented cricket player. His considerate sister tries to convince his father (Prasenjit Chatterjee) to let him pursue a career in cricket. But the father and his circumstances lead him to believe pursuing a career in cricket is a sure recipe for disaster, and a melodrama unveils.
