These are the Pendletones' (soon-to-be-known as The Beach Boys) first recordings ever, back in 1961, with a then-unknown SoCal record label called Candix Records.

Two of those songs ("Surfin' Safari" and "Surfer Girl") were later re-recorded and became hits.
