During the Great Depression, Ann Darrow (Naomi Watts), an actress in vaudeville, you lose your job. Her luck seems to change when she meets Carl Denham (Jack Black), a businessman struggling to break into the entertainment world. They are joined by Jack Driscoll (Adrien Brody), a proponent of theater. The three embark on a journey to a remote island where Denham plans to direct a film.
