Continental Basketball Association Playoff Finals 1989. Former developmental league of the NBA. Sports author and a favorite of opposing fans to boo, coach Charlie Rosen leads the Rockford Lightning against the Tulsa Fast Breakers. Rosen, in the book, "More Than a Game," describes the Fast Breakers as, "a team of druggies and thugs." Rockford lost two starters, Ken "Animal" Bannister and Dominick Presley, before the playoffs. Dwayne McClain, from Villanova's miracle championship team, stars with Pace Mannion for the Lightning. High scoring Dexter Shouse leads Tulsa. Tulsa's Wes Matthews is the father of current Marquette star Wes Matthews, Jr.
